I'm Jeremiah! 👋🏽 I've recently grauated from General Assembly's Software Engineering Immersive Coding Bootcamp and have a background in IT and security. I attended the United States Air Force Academy and Graduated from CSU, Sacramento in 2017 with a degree in Economics. I'm passionate about building something from nothing and a special interest in what's going on behind the scenes of applications we use every day. Building full stack applications with creative solutions fuels my desire to learn and I bring my background of networking, infrastructure, and application management into every application I write.

Full-stack software engineering immersive student in an intensive, 24-week, 450+ hour program focused on product development fundamentals, object-oriented programming, MVC frameworks, data modeling, and team collaboration strategies. Developed a portfolio of individual and group projects.
Explored technologies outside of curriculum to use in my projects such as TypeScript, Next.js, Socket.io, Passport.js., and others.

Project 1 of 4: Ecomvision

Ecomvision is an example of an e-commerce dashboard showing lots of data in an easy-to-read fashion. Created with the MERN stack, Ecomvision is focused on the backend with techniques like server-side pagination and aggregate calls being implemented. The frontend is made using Material UI and the graphs are made using the Vivo library.

Project 2 of 4: Vibes

Vibes is a MERN (MongoDB, Express, React.js, Node.js) stack social media application. Utilizing the React JavaScript library to serve the front-end of the application. Made RESTful API fetch calls to an Express, MongoDB, Node.js backend handling all CRUD operations and tested all backend routes during development using Postman. Used Mongoose to define schemas for MongoDB collections.

Project 3 of 4: Personal Site

My portfolio website hosts information about myself to market to others about my engineering abilities. Used Next.js as a framework with TypeScript React on the frontend as well as a custom CMS using Sanity. Using the API functionality in Next.js, I am able to write custom groq queries to change the content on my website from anywhere in the world without touching the code. Blog coming soon...

Project 4 of 4: chatApp

ChatApp is a real time chat application that allows you to join rooms with your friends and edit your profile. Utilizing EJS to serve views to the client, websocket.io to keep the TCP connection open between client and server, as well as session-based authentication and authorization using Passport.js. Used Mongoose to define schemas for MongoDB collections.
